The snow and ice has shown up much earlier this year and this is a reminder that all owners, occupants or persons in charge of any property that is next to a sidewalk has 24 hours from the time the precipitation ceases to clear the sidewalks.  The first time offense will be a letter/reminder to review this ordinance.  The second time will be a fine of $98.80 with the third and all subsequent offenses wil be $161.80.  An offense is considered to be each 24 hour period that the sidewalks are not cleared.
